About Lockie

hey! i’m lucy and this is my teeny tiny business, lockie.

i started lockie as a hobby in 2024 painting champagne bottles in my bedroom and again, my teeny tiny dream has grown ever since. fast forward 2 years, i quit my full time job with no real plan, just some better paints, an ipad and a never ending pinterest board. (2024 me would be sooo surprised i have been persuaded to try new things other than just painting champagne bottles.)

i’m sure it is a universal thing as a lucy to be nicknamed ‘lucy locket’ which i have been by the majority of my family, however my lovely mam, who has supported me sooo much through the early stages of this venture, has always had it shortened down to ‘lockie’ which i think is cute and just made sense.

i reaaaaally enjoy creating things that i love, and i suppose selfishly, everything i design is always something i would use or have myself. in the very early stages, my target customer was initially the girlies in their twenties, like myself, which i’m sure you can tell from my designs. however, my dad and unofficial business partner’s enthusiasm and love for every item i have made (whilst always asking me if i have any spare samples for him to have himself) has defined lockie’s ideal customer down, to:everyone. in true dopamine effect and rage against the beige style, lockie might just be a little pop of colour here and there, or an opportunity to add even more crazy colours, into an already crazy colourful life.
